It was a normal day for us 4, who decided to go Kuantan after so long. One of the friends wanted to go see Habib Jewelry for its 70% promotion while the rest wanted some entertainment.
But one thing was common: We all were so craving for DIMSUM!
Last 2 weeks it was so difficult to find Restoran Seng Kong in Kuantan for me and one of my housemates, yesterday 4 of us encountered the same problem not even Waze or Google Maps can solve. Ended up I needed to ask a passerby for direction, apparently she thought I am some drug addict or robber and i thought she was a Chinese. Guess crimes in Kuantan were not getting any better and I was over confident in trying to determine race by the look of face.
In fact we tried the DIMSUM in this restaurant before, which the tauke is well known as "arithmetician". He simply calculated every bill in front of his customers in seconds, without the help of a calculator, even the reviews on websites recommended not only his DIMSUM, but also ask to see his real arithmetical skill.
I "surreptitiously" recorded him calculating our bill with my tab, and that was so funny holding a 10'1 tab horizontally with camera focal aiming at him and still needed to pretend I was just holding it. Not to mention my housemate, Sooth Tyng who laughed so hard at it.
"Kungfu Jungle, 一个人的武" was the movie we watched yesterday, casting Donnie Yen, Charlie Young and Alex 大只信, a movie full of Chinese Kungfu action scenes. I was not a Donnie Yen before, but now I guess I am.
We were keen on other movies like Fury, Northmen and Book of Life, but to watch this because no Chinese or Cantonese movie can be found in TGV Mesra Mall. It took us an almost 2 hours drive to Kuantan so at least we did not came to enjoy what we can find in Kerteh.
I rated this movie 8 out of 10. Quite recommended actually.
The surprise of the day was the Sakae Sushi. Finally opened in East Coast Mall.
