UEFA Champions League Final - The Madrid Derby

Nine-time Champions League winner Real Madrid will take on crosstown rival, Atletica Madrid at Estadio da Luz, Lisbon, Portugal, 2.45 am Malaysia time, hoping to crown the league again since 2002 while Atletico aim to win its first ever European Cup title.

Real Madrid already won Copa Del Rey earlier this season and Atletico are the Spanish Legue Champions 2013/2014.

Frankly speaking, it is a 50-50 tie. However I am more inclined to see Atletico win it. I believe Fernando Torres and Kun Aguero are with me too. It is a team under Diego Simeone which is tactically distinct, highly disciplined, has high morale and most importantly, civilian enough. To name the star player for Atletico, you may only remember Diego Costa, but to name Real Madrid stars, you can name a bunch,  just the famous few, Christiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Benzema etc.

I watched the semi final of Chelsea playing Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge, and was completely impressed by Diego Simeone's man.

Atletico deserved more. Champions League final is just the right thing to reward them.

So my prediction is a narrow win for Atletico, Real Madrid 1 - Atletico Madrid 2.

What say you?
