Found New Food in Chukai, Kemaman!

It was last week when we were back from Kuantan, thinking to stop by Restoran Fook Hei at Bandar Chukai for a Chinese dinner, but accidentally walked past Restoran Fook Hei to its neighboring kopitiam!

Because Fook Hei opened at 6 pm and it was still 15 minutes to 6 at that time, so we decided to give a try at this kopitiam.

I was quite surprised to see this kopitiam because I had never noticed such kopitiam exists beside a restaurant I have visited several times.

It is a typical Chinese kopitiam operated by an old Chinese couple, helped by the couple's daughter, serving Wantan Mee, Yong Tau Fu, Chicken Wing etc and only opened from evening till night.

Nostalgic moment because it made me missed the old UTP times where I always drove out of the campus to its nearest town, Tronoh for breakfast like Char Siew Wantan Mee with some Yong Tau Fu and not forgetting the Kopi O.

Direct translation of the kopitiam name to English: Nameless/ Unnamed Kopitiam
Eric ordered a dry Wantan Mee and Yong Tau Fu broth
Aaron ordered a curry Yong Tau Fu Wantan Mee
BBQ Honey Chicken
All the Wantans and Fu Chok
My Favourite Yong Tau Fu

And myself ordered a dry Wantan Mee and Yong Tau Fu broth too.

Quite a satisfying meal as it just cost me RM9 while I took so much of the Yong Tau Fu and most importantly, it was delicious. It would have easily been RM20 if I ate the same amount of food in the Yong Tau Fu stall in Mesra Mall.

Quality and quantity can vary so much.

Finally found a new place to eat in future! No need to worry going to some same places over and over again anymore :)

Giroud Back to Training, Arsenal vs Manchester United

Giroud is finally back to London Colney training ground after being sidelined for around 3 months suffering fracture to his left tibia. I am certainly happy to see him back in action earlier than expected.

Arsenal will play Manchester United at Emirates this weekend. Considering the recent Arsenal's performance and forms, Wenger will be relieved to have Giroud and Walcott back for his selection.

Can the Emirates faithful see Giroud and Danny Welbeck playing together for the first time? I hope so. However, Podolski will sense the awkwardness of Giroud's return which I don't feel good. Wenger should really give the World Cup winner Prince Poldi some chances to prove his worth.

Wenger have been using 4-1-4-1 or 4-2-3-1 with Welbeck being the sole first choice up front. I would rather see a 4-2-2, pairing Welbeck with Giroud or Podolski. Welbeck is fast and will do the running and passing jobs, while Giroud/ Podolski is strong and tall, they can either hold the ball and create opportunities for teamates to score or they can just finish the ball themselves.

Whether it is 4-1-4-1 or 4-2-3-1, another Frenchman, Flamini seems Arsene Wenger's top favourite. I don't understand why. Flamini does not have body like Matic, passing like Fabregas, dribbling like Wilshere, not even shooting skills like Ramsey or Arteta.

Why continue to froze Tomas Rosicky on the bench? The Little Mozart is far better than Flamini and Arteta, at least.

Midfield duo Ozil and Diaby suffered more injury setbacks, can't afford to rely on Alexis Sanchez any longer. Somebody must take the responsibilities as well.

Hope to see Wenger makes some brave changes to the first eleven vs MU.

Maybe, just maybe Wenger should try any of the below?

4-4-2 - Szczesny, Chambers, Mertesacker, Monreal, Gibbs, Alexis, Ramsey, Rosicky, Chamberlain, Welbeck, Giroud or

4-2-3-1 - Szczesny, Chambers, Mertesacker, Monreal, Gibbs, Ramsey, Chamberlain, Alexis, Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud or

4-3-3 - Szczesny, Chambers, Mertesacker, Monreal, Gibbs, Ramsey, Arteta, Rosicky, Alexis, Walcott, Welbeck

Good luck Arsenal! It is time to salvage something for this season.

If Arsenal cannot beat Van Gaal's already-falling Manchester United now, I don't see how they can do it in future.

Sign me probably? :P

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies - World Premiere in London [Official Announcement]

Martin Freeman and Richard Armitage look familiar to me here, just that I cannot recognize them as Bilbo Baggins and Thorin Oakenshield. The modeling in movie and reality of both of them is really different.

Happy Halloween

It was Halloween last night.

It was a normal day for us 4, who decided to go Kuantan after so long. One of the friends wanted to go see Habib Jewelry for its 70% promotion while the rest wanted some entertainment.

But one thing was common: We all were so craving for DIMSUM!

Last 2 weeks it was so difficult to find Restoran Seng Kong in Kuantan for me and one of my housemates, yesterday 4 of us encountered the same problem not even Waze or Google Maps can solve. Ended up I needed to ask a passerby for direction, apparently she thought I am some drug addict or robber and i thought she was a Chinese. Guess crimes in Kuantan were not getting any better and I was over confident in trying to determine race by the look of face.

In fact we tried the DIMSUM in this restaurant before, which the tauke is well known as "arithmetician". He simply calculated every bill in front of his customers in seconds, without the help of a calculator, even the reviews on websites recommended not only his DIMSUM, but also ask to see his real arithmetical skill.

I "surreptitiously" recorded him calculating our bill with my tab, and that was so funny holding a 10'1 tab horizontally with camera focal aiming at him and still needed to pretend I was just holding it. Not to mention my housemate, Sooth Tyng who laughed so hard at it.

"Kungfu Jungle, 一个人的武" was the movie we watched yesterday, casting Donnie Yen, Charlie Young and Alex 大只信, a movie full of Chinese Kungfu action scenes. I was not a Donnie Yen before, but now I guess I am.

We were keen on other movies like Fury, Northmen and Book of Life, but to watch this because no Chinese or Cantonese movie can be found in TGV Mesra Mall. It took us an almost 2 hours drive to Kuantan so at least we did not came to enjoy what we can find in Kerteh.

I rated this movie 8 out of 10. Quite recommended actually.

The surprise of the day was the Sakae Sushi. Finally opened in East Coast Mall.
