Visited Teluk Intan Again

Thanks to Hari Raya we all finally got the long holidays to rejoice and spend time with families again.

The holiday started early on Tuesday afternoon, where I deliberately left the Kerteh office at 11.30 am and bumped into my friend's Myvi for journey to Kuala Lumpur. It was 3.30 pm when I reached Gombak LRT station. Everyone was eager to go home, I saw from their eyes. After all, they spent too long away from home for living here in this city.

The torrid noonday sun made me famished and exhausted. Guess I should not stay overnight to watch Germany vs Italy game. However came to think of it, I was quite grateful and happy to wake up for this, what they called Game of Century because both sides were 4-times FIFA World Cup winners and certainly I am unsure when the sides will play each other again in major tournaments. No regret waking up 3 am in the morning to watch the football I love. Do it while I am still young and have the ability to do it. Sooner or later, life will consume me and before I realize, I already grow old.

Bae texted me when I was on my way to Petaling Street suggesting us to depart to Teluk Intan by this evening. I felt she was one of the them who was eager to go back to hometown (but she goes back almost every weekend after Friday work). Unwillingly willing, I promised her. Before that, I had time to visit Chinatown for the Char Kuey I had been craving for over the past few weeks. Unfortunately I could not find it and had to settle for some street confectionery instead.

When Bae arrived at my house, she decided that we will stay one night in KL and depart the next morning. Oh man this was my original plan and the mettlesomeness for night entertainment immediately overshadowed my concentrated drowsiness resulting from the 30-minutes nap.

So we decided that we will go Pavillion, considering the traffic will be as smooth as silk. And indeed it was because we arrived in less than 20 minutes which by normal travelling time should take us 30 minutes at least. I forgot how many times the Standard Chartered building appeared in this blog but I have to admit, it did reminisce some good old memories with Bae.

Long story cut short, we settled at Tokyo Teppan for a wonderful and lovely dinner.

Appetizer - steamed egg pudding, salad and green tea
My order : Sushi Combo
Bae's order : Teppanyaki Combo

The next morning, it was a chilling and relax trip to the north with Bae driving again. This time I was able to try out a new hotel at Teluk Intan called Yew Boutique Hotel.

Super peak rate for a single room was just RM92.00. If you are the member of the Hotel, you can enjoy additional 10% off the rate. The room I took was cozy, comfortable, new and had everything you expect from a hotel. TV, internet, kettle, aircond and ASTRO, with 4 Astro Supersport channels! Take a look.

The best part was the rooftop scenery.

Here, everywhere exuded the earthy and simply folks flavor.

At night I managed to spend really quality time with Bae and her families. Of course the highlight of the night was still Euro featuring Portugal and Wales in the semi-final. I was, definitely all ready for it with my U Mobile broadband, laptop and Astro on the Go.

What accompanied me whole night were Zootopia before the match and the famous Anson Chee Cheong Fun during the match. Another best thing staying at this hotel was that the hotel was located just a stone's throw away from the place selling this Chee Cheong Fun. Convenient enough.

Full time : Portugal 2  - Wales 0

What a game, legends were both Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last thing best of this hotel. Guess what? Breakfast to fill an already half-filled stomach.

Glad I came Teluk Intan on the 1st day of Hari Raya. Truly well spent.

Last but not least, I never thought I could board ETS again after UTP life. Yeah

It was a journey home to Kepong full of sweetest memories my Bae has given and shared with me. I wish holidays were longer and look forward to visiting this place again.
